Marianne Dainton - Communication Specialist
Marianne Dainton is a tenured Professor of Communication at La Salle University in Philadelphia, where she teaches Communication Theory, Interpersonal Communication, and Group Communication. She received her M.A. and her Ph.D. from The Ohio State University, and her B.A. from Villanova University.

Marianne has published in Communication Monographs, the Journal of Social and Personal Relationships, Family Relations, Western Journal of Communication, Communication Quarterly, Communication Reports, and Communication Research Reports. She has also published numerous book chapters, and is the co-editor of the book "Maintaining Relationships through Communication: Relational, Contextual, and Cultural Variations," which was published by Lawrence Erlbaum Associates. She currently has a contract to write a textbook for Sage Publishers called "Communication Theory for Business and the Professions."

Prior to entering academia, Marianne was a reporter for the Windsor Locks Journal (Windsor Locks, CT) and worked in community relations and human resources for Union Carbide (now a part of Dow Chemicals).
